Michael is a man of many talents. Well, actually, he only has one. And we're all still trying to figure out what that is. He dreams of being a great writer, but has to settle for being a high general in the Penguin Liberation Army (which he founded himself) in an effort to take over the world (for its own good). Loyal to his "lil' sis" She-King Gaby and the penguin cause, "Mikers" (as he's known by many) sometimes must resort to unsavory tactics. He's a student of Pen Pen's martial arts, The Penguin Way, and often the target of his teacher's harsher lessons. |

| Gaby is the figure head of the Penguin Union Nation, though it's said that she does some actual governing at times. In addition to the several jobs she works, in the past she helped run the city's art gallery and library. Nice to a fault, Gaby often finds it difficult to say no to others. However, she does have a darker, more sinister side, too. |

| The leader of the Penguin Liberation Army, the mysterious and manipulative erect-crested penguin with a love of booze and sarcasm has power most can only guess at (Mike himself guesses that his own power is "a drop in the bucket" in comparison). Master of the "Penguin Way", over the years he has taken on pupils, with varying success. Pen Pen speaks Penguinese (which has been conveniently translated). Only Mike and a few other OR citizens seem to understand him when he talks. Can communicate telepathically as well. |

| One of the founders of the People's Republic of Antarctica, Judd has been described as like Mike, "only successful". Nobody's sure exactly what he does right now, but whatever it is, he's ahead of the game, and it annoys Mike to no end. The two have a strange friend/enemy rivalry, stemming from similar personalities. Judd seems to have ki manipulation skills, but it's rumored that they're really technological. The extent of his power is unknown. |

| Siri is an officer of the Penguin Liberation Army, mostly for the intrigue and the violence. Not exactly super-dedicated to the goals of the PLA, Siri nevertheless shares a bond of sorts with Mike and often serves as his adjunct (often to her distaste). Another of Pen Pen's students in the Penguin Way, Siri is powerful ki manipulator. She's also a brilliant writer. |

| The son of Antarctic researchers, Terry joined the PLA with his brother Timothy. His laid-back, sarcastic slacker personality belies his deep pain about his brother's death in the First Class Incident. He is normally an affable person who mixes well in social situations. However, it seems like he feels he has a lot to prove. |

| Nessett was a child prodigy who graduated from college at the age of twelve. However, despite her intelligence, she has low self-esteem stemming from an overbearing father. She used to date Timothy Conner and is now desired by his brother. Nessett can be very critical of the PLA superiors. Also, she's bi, and that's hot, amirite? Imrite. |

| Puffers is a puffin, not a penguin. What is a puffin doing in the Penguin Liberation Army? "Well, what are humans doing in it?", she would argue. Puffins may be different than penguins, but they're bonded by the covenant of the Great Auk Society, making them "cousins". Cynical, but skilled, Puffers is often the odd one out in her class in the Penguin Way, but is independent enough to handle it. |

| A diminutive penguin who somehow never grew to full size, Pengy was always Pen Pen's hardest working Penguin Way student. Though not as naturally talented as others, Pengy's drive made him a major assett to the Penguin Liberation Army. He's commanded the PLA's Antarctic Base for years, but has been passed over promotion several times, due to internal politics. |

| An Emperor Penguin of great skill, Maxwell Ramada grew up on the outskirts of what is now the capital of the People's Republic of Antarctica. Joining the PLA shortly before the New Zealand Secret War, he distinguished himself in combat and earned himself a spot in Pen Pen's second Penguin Way class. |

| Ravex used to run with a group called the Poe Crew, who all named themselves after animals in works by Edgar Allen Poe. Also in the crew were Wormez and Caty. (Yeah, that's my actual explanation for the "x" at the end of his name.) He makes use of ki attacks and a special cloaking device that is often destroyed and then rebuilt. Is that red cyborg eye thing his real eye or an attachment? Only Ravex knows for sure. |

| Prince Cassus is the prince of Zuel, a land in the sky. Where exactly in the sky is still up in the air (ohohoho). Cassus is an arrogant asshole who really needs to get tuned up by the fuck-you-police (as I call the bottoms of my feet). Watch as he manipulates others and does nothing himself. He should be tossed down a flight of stairs into a brick wall. |

| Golex is this big strong monster-man who seems to be made out of rock or something really rock-like. He beat the crap out of our lazy hero and probably took forty cakes (and that's terrible). He definitely talks, but where the hell is his mouth? Also, he can cancel out ki barriers. However, he has himself admitted to not being nearly as powerful as Pen Pen, so fuck him. |
